In house 7, the Call makes itself heard in the other and the bond. I would like to show what this lack asks, and why its answer is found not in house 7 but in the house opposite.
What house 7 calls for
The seventh house begins at the Descendant, the point setting in the west at birth, and it describes the other: partner, associate, declared adversary, everything that stands opposite. A Black Moon here sets the lack in the bond. I meet, with this placement, people who expect the other to fill the place and resent them for failing; others who flee every relationship because they sense that void; others still who feel they exist only through a partner's gaze. The lack is not a flaw. It is a place left open, and that place calls.
The answer stands opposite
Here is the point of method that governs this whole page. Each Black Moon has its respondent, the point facing it in the chart: to the apogee, which moves the Moon away, answers the perigee, which brings it close. The Call occupies one end of the axis, the answer the other. A Black Moon in house 7 therefore has its answer in house 1. What is missing in the other is not repaired by looking for another partner, but by consenting to be present oneself.
Three Black Moons, three respondents. Christos answers the Mean, the Alicorn: the Word that accepts to take flesh. Apollo answers the Corrected, the Unicorn: attunement that accepts a realizable form. Priapus answers the True, Athena: vital power become presence in matter. For each, here is the opening of its worksheet in house 1, as I wrote it in volume 2: the figure, the risk, the answer. The facets that follow remain in the book.
Mean Black Moon in house 7: Christos in house 1
The Mean in house 7 carries the Call of the Alicorn in the other and the bond. Its answer is Christos in house 1, “the faith that takes on a body”:
In house 1, the Pioneer's faith becomes a way of standing in the world. Like the captain who is first to step onto the deck, he commits his presence before his speech. This visible beginning can give others the courage to rise in turn. Beginning can become a role endlessly replayed. The person recovers the intoxication of the first step, then abandons what they launched as soon as it needs sustaining. Remaining present after the first step gives faith a duration. Someone stays when the spotlights have gone out.

Corrected Black Moon in house 7: Apollo in house 1
The Corrected in house 7 carries the Call of the Unicorn in the other and the bond. Its answer is Apollo in house 1, “Acting in One's Own Name”:
In house 1, the Archer-Justiciar manifests in presence, momentum, and the way of entering the world. The response cannot remain an idea: it must become a personal gesture. The person quickly recognizes what calls for an intervention. They dare to begin, to show themselves, and to take a clear position when others are still hesitating. Their courage comes less from a taste for combat than from a difficulty in remaining a spectator before what seems unjust to them. When it is in accord, this placement gives a simple authority. People trust them because their acts and their words go in the same direction. They open a path without demanding that everyone follow it.

True Black Moon in house 7: Priapus in house 1
The True in house 7 carries the Call of Athena in the other and the bond. Its answer is Priapus in house 1, “the desire that enters first”:
The body enters the room, and its vitality is felt before any word. In house 1, the Phallus gives presence a physical frankness, a magnetism that precedes gestures of seduction. This presence can be experienced as a permanent excess, a body that takes up all the space before it has even been invited to. The strength then becomes what people hold against the person rather than what they admire in them. Take one's place with intensity, then leave room for those arriving: presence benefits from sensing others as much as making itself felt.

What the book adds
Each worksheet of volume 2 continues beyond these three paragraphs: the facets of the respondent, one by one, with their gift, their drift and their attunement. For Christos, the Proclaimer, the Builder, the Visionary, the Reformer; for Apollo, the Poet, the Radiant Sovereign, the Healing Prophet, the Lawgiving Physician; for Priapus, the Pruning Hook, the Club, the Horn of Plenty, Ugliness. That is where the reading becomes precise, and that is where I left it.
Frequently asked questions
What does Lilith in the 7th house mean?
That the Call of the Black Moon makes itself heard in the other and the bond. I do not read it as a shadow at this point of life, but as a lack that asks for an answer, and that answer takes shape in the opposite house, house 1.
Should I look at the mean, true or corrected Black Moon in house 7?
All three, if they are there. They are not always in the same house, and each has its respondent: Christos for the Mean, Apollo for the Corrected, Priapus for the True. The application tells you which ones are in house 7.
