In house 10, the Call makes itself heard in the public work. I would like to show what this lack asks, and why its answer is found not in house 10 but in the house opposite.
What house 10 calls for
The tenth house culminates at the Midheaven: the place one holds before everyone, vocation, career, authority, what the world retains of a name. A Black Moon here sets the lack in recognition. I see this placement in people who work for a place that does not come, or who obtain it and find the void intact; in others, authority frightens, their own as much as that of others. The lack is not a flaw. It is a place left open, and that place calls.
The answer stands opposite
Here is the point of method that governs this whole page. Each Black Moon has its respondent, the point facing it in the chart: to the apogee, which moves the Moon away, answers the perigee, which brings it close. The Call occupies one end of the axis, the answer the other. A Black Moon in house 10 therefore has its answer in house 4. What is missing from the public place is not repaired by climbing higher, but by founding a place one can return to.
Three Black Moons, three respondents. Christos answers the Mean, the Alicorn: the Word that accepts to take flesh. Apollo answers the Corrected, the Unicorn: attunement that accepts a realizable form. Priapus answers the True, Athena: vital power become presence in matter. For each, here is the opening of its worksheet in house 4, as I wrote it in volume 2: the figure, the risk, the answer. The facets that follow remain in the book.
Mean Black Moon in house 10: Christos in house 4
The Mean in house 10 carries the Call of the Alicorn in the public work. Its answer is Christos in house 4, “the first hearth founded”:
In house 4, the Pioneer lays the first stone of a home. He may establish a stability unknown to his lineage, marked by exile or flight. The conviction that an inhabitable place is possible allows him to found one without a reliable model. The home founded can become an untouchable monument. Its builder then experiences every change as a betrayal, even when the inhabitants need it. Letting the house change with those who inhabit it extends the founding gesture.

Corrected Black Moon in house 10: Apollo in house 4
The Corrected in house 10 carries the Call of the Unicorn in the public work. Its answer is Apollo in house 4, “Protecting the Inner Home”:
In house 4, the Archer-Justiciar acts within the home, roots, family memory, and inner security. Their justice begins behind closed doors. The person can become an attentive protector of their own and of their history. They sense old imbalances, defend intimacy, and seek to build a place where each person can exist without fear. Their courage reveals itself when they dare to interrupt a family loyalty that has become unjust. They do not deny their roots; they choose what deserves to be transmitted and what must stop with them.

True Black Moon in house 10: Priapus in house 4
The True in house 10 carries the Call of Athena in the public work. Its answer is Priapus in house 4, “the desire that marks its territory”:
The Phallus in house 4 attaches vitality to the place of living. The body recognizes its house as a den; the desire to remain there and watch over it gives the home a carnal density. This instinct of possession can close into domestic jealousy, where the house becomes a space defended against everyone, including those who should be finding their place in it. Truly opening the place to those one loves allows them to find their place there too.

What the book adds
Each worksheet of volume 2 continues beyond these three paragraphs: the facets of the respondent, one by one, with their gift, their drift and their attunement. For Christos, the Proclaimer, the Builder, the Visionary, the Reformer; for Apollo, the Poet, the Radiant Sovereign, the Healing Prophet, the Lawgiving Physician; for Priapus, the Pruning Hook, the Club, the Horn of Plenty, Ugliness. That is where the reading becomes precise, and that is where I left it.
Frequently asked questions
What does Lilith in the 10th house mean?
That the Call of the Black Moon makes itself heard in the public work. I do not read it as a shadow at this point of life, but as a lack that asks for an answer, and that answer takes shape in the opposite house, house 4.
Should I look at the mean, true or corrected Black Moon in house 10?
All three, if they are there. They are not always in the same house, and each has its respondent: Christos for the Mean, Apollo for the Corrected, Priapus for the True. The application tells you which ones are in house 10.
